  When God saw his children all fighting
  He sent down thunder and lightning
  Told them to refrain
  From wargames insane
  And hoped for their enlightening
  

  He sits on his mountain way yonder
  Has many a time to ponder
  What might have went wrong
  To make this sad song
  The humans seem out to make longer

  a hiding

  nicer
  to put the blame
  on you

  the crutch of my existence
  the bearer of my misery
  the only hope I have

  I writhed in dirt like a human
  now I have you
  instead

  I put you in the spotlight of reflection
  now you feel my pain
  instead

  I was a hopeless bugger
  now you are hopeless
  instead

  the piece that I am missing
  I have not found in you

  the punishment is silent
  like our soulless scream

  day for day we tighten
